Laura Boller is a mixed race Korean American adoptee. She is currently working towards her Bachelor’s degree in Illustration with a minor in Creative Writing at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She believes that art is an important form of self-expression and a way to connect to the Asian American community. She enjoys working digitally, using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Boller is inspired by marine life, flora, the natural world, and her identity as a half Korean American adoptee. In 2022 she received The Minneapolis College of Art and Design Presidential Scholarship for her unique portfolio as a transfer student. She was also the recipient of the Auction at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design Scholarship in 2022. In 2023 she was awarded the Coyne Family Foundation Scholarship, MPCC Julie Andrus Scholarship, and the Winton Jones Education Scholarship for her illustrative work. Boller currently lives and works in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
